DutchScot / Greenwich Design District Wayfinding / DutchScot
Large freestanding exterior structures and interior wayfinding graphics reflect the dynamic environment of London’s new Design District in Greenwich, a development featuring 16 buildings designed by eight world-class architects. We won three D&AD awards for our involvement in the project.
This project oversaw the design and manufacture of wayfinding signage showcasing a variety of techniques from laser cut panels painted or decorated with vinyl decals to floor applied exterior grade anti slip vinyl for floor wayfinding.
The functionality of the Design District as a space for creative industry to thrive required specific attention to unique and robust design. Alongside the implementation of 2D wayfinding signage was the creation of larger three-dimensional structures such as the outdoor frame style letters made of steel that function as placenames and the freestanding steel clad boards that host enticing magnetic vinyl graphic prints.
