Blakedown / Park of Words - Shoreditch / Blakedown
A regeneration project for Shoreditch Park in Hackney, London. A large, well-used community space, the project features poems and writings created with the involvement of local schoolchildren.
Our team produced and installed various wayfinding elements throughout the park including seven entrance threshold markers with laser-cut brass letters set in cast concrete bases, solid engraved timber posts for the perimeter running track, and acid-etched boulder plaques. A standout feature is the 40-meter narrative fence made of reclaimed timber with laser-etched text and contrast insets.
