Royal Armouries Museum / Re:Loaded / Royal Armouries Museum
The Museum commissioned a completely new gallery space to host a programme of temporary exhibitions. Standard8 carried out a total end to end service from shell build to full fit out.
A project aimed at enhancing visitor engagement and enriching the overall museum experience. A key aspect of this initiative involved the installation of large format printed wallpaper media throughout the gallery space. Complementing the printed wallpaper media, the design introduced free-standing illuminated displays adorned with printed graphics, strategically positioned to highlight key artifacts and thematic sections within the exhibits. Drawing attention to specific points of interest but also added a contemporary flair to the museum s ambiance, seamlessly blending modern design elements with historical content.
A supersized video projection wall embedded into the gallery structure played AV content, alongside complementary sound system integrated at low level within the wall structures.
Incorporation of stencilled floor graphics and neon-like signage created zoned sections and further enhanced the immersive experience, guiding visitors through the museums various sections while maintaining a cohesive visual identity.
