Digital Print Studio Technician

The Position:
We are looking for an experienced digital print technician to join our team.

You will be responsible for the preparation and processing of print-ready files to a professional technical standard for large format printers, artworking and print finishing when required.

You will liaise with clients (photographers, artists and graphic designers) to ensure the quality of printed images is to the exacting standard required. You will stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in digital printing to enhance productivity and quality.

What we require from you:

Essential:
You will have a high level of skill and experience in running large format digital printers.
You will have experience in print finishing; mounting and lamination of large-format material.
You will be proficient in using digital printing software such as Adobe Creative Suite, RIP software and colour management tools.
You should be able to carry out tasks with minimal supervision and work to tight deadlines and you will have the high attention to detail required to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.

Desirable:
You will have an understanding of colour theory; colour profiling, colour matching and colour management/calibration.
You will have experience in one or more of the following: fine art printing, exhibition printing, cut vinyl production and application, bespoke framing, operation of Kongsberg cutting table or similar.
Due to the varied nature of our work, we are also keen to learn about any other skills you may have to offer.

Terms:
This is a full-time position offered on a permanent basis subject to a successful probation period. Salary offer will vary depending upon experience.

Multi-Disciplinary Maker
Specialist in Either Woodwork or Metalwork

The Position:
As an experienced Multi-Disciplinary Maker, you will be joining our workshop with skills that complement our existing team. Your adaptability is key, as the bespoke nature of our work means that we use a variety of different materials and processes.

Once production has been completed in our workshop you may be asked to travel to site for installation. At the culmination of the project, this is where you will benefit from seeing our clients’ briefs come to fruition.

What We Require From You:
With a high level of skill in either joinery, metal fabrication or signage installations, you will demonstrate a commitment to producing high quality work. Due to the variety of projects that we undertake, we are keen to learn about other skills you have to offer. Do you have experience with CNC operation, acrylic fabrication, laser cutting, LED light installations, CAD drawing or other?

It is essential that you have experience of working from drawings and to specification. You will have keen attention to detail and a clean methodical approach to your work. You should be able to carry out tasks with minimal supervision and work to tight deadlines.

Prior experience within exhibition, graphic installations and high-end fit-out environments will be an advantage.
You will ideally have a full driving license. Any other qualifications relating to the construction industry (CSCS, IPAF, PASMA etc), would be highly beneficial.

Terms:
Full-time or part-time, this position is offered on a permanent basis subject to a successful probationary period. Applications from self-employed subcontractors looking for temporary work also welcome. Salary offer will vary depending upon experience.
